The National Football League announced Tuesday it has reinstated Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Isaiah Rodgers, which clears him to participate in all team activities after he was indefinitely suspended last June for violating the league’s gambling policy.

Rodgers, who was on the Indianapolis Colts roster in 2023, was given an indefinite suspension by the league last June for reportedly placing hundreds of bets from inside the team’s facility, which is against league rules. Rodgers also reportedly had bets involving Colts games, which is wholly prohibited by the league.

A sixth-round pick in 2020, Rodgers reportedly applied for reinstatement with the league last month and was not among a group of five players reinstated by the NFL last Thursday, who also served suspensions last season for betting on league games.

The Colts cut Rodgers shortly after his suspension was announced, and the Eagles signed him to a 1-year contract last August for a reported $1.01 million. The fourth-year cornerback has made 10 starts in 45 games and has three interceptions. Rodgers also averaged 27.0 yards per return on 61 kickoffs, something that could increase his value with the NFL’s rule changes on kickoffs for the upcoming season.
